Shri Mathurakali of Siruvachur is a very famous Deity, who has given Darshan to Adhi Shankara after quenching his thirst while he was passing through Madira Malai, now known as Periyaswami Malai.  Ambal is the Poorvashrama Kula Deivam of  Shri Kanchi Mahan Maha Periyava HH Chrandarasekarendra Saraswati of Shri Mutt, Kanchi.  To be precise, She is a very powerful Deity and has blessed many including one of the Chola Kings, who was blessed with a child.  Shri Bothendra Swamigal has consecrated the Shri Chakra in the Sanctum, who is a staunch devotee of Ambal.  On HER wishes and instructions, I have been writing some material to convey to the Devotees, so that they could go through and enlighten themselves.  Om Shri Siruvakshyai Namaha Om Siruvachur Vaasinyai Namaha.    Balasubramanian NR
